The whole life1660–1680
Works more slowly, but still with success
In his last two decades (1660–80) Claude worked more slowly but always with success; to this period belongs the series of the “Moments of the Day”: “Noon”, “Evening”, “Night” and “Morning in the Harbour”.
until 1682
A will asking for masses in his native village
In his will Claude asked for masses to be said in the village where he was born and left all his property to his daughter Agnese: for all his admiration for the Italian landscape and his great fortune, he always remained attached to Chamagne.

Dies in his own house in Rome
Claude died in his house on 23 November 1682; of his own paintings he still owned only four, but he had most of his drawings, including the Liber Veritatis, twelve bound books and a large folder of loose sheets.
