Death in his sleep; the unfinished “Miguel Alemán” mural
On 7 September 1949 Orozco dies in his sleep in Mexico City, aged 65; the cause of death is heart failure. He had not managed to finish his last work, the painting of one of the buildings of the “Miguel Alemán” housing complex.
