この絵画について
『ジプシーの野営地、夕暮れ』（ジプシーのやえいち、ゆうぐれ、英: Gypsy Encampment, Sunset）、または『夕暮れ時に野営をする田舎の放浪者たち』（ゆうぐれときにやえいをするいなかのほうろうしゃたち、英: Rural Nomads Camping at Sunset）は、18世紀イギリスの巨匠トマス・ゲインズバラが1778-1780年ごろ、キャンバス上に油彩で制作した絵画である。1947年にフレデリック・ジョン・ネトルフォールド (Frederick John Nettlefold) から寄贈されて以来、ロンドンのテート・ブリテンに所蔵されている。

On 15 July 1746 Gainsborough marries Margaret Burr, an illegitimate daughter of the Duke of Beaufort.
1759
The move to fashionable Bath
Having made his name as a portraitist in Ipswich, Gainsborough decides to move to the fashionable spa town of Bath, where two of his sisters live. There are so many portrait commissions there that they outstrip what he can handle.
1768
An invitation to found the Royal Academy
In November 1768 Joshua Reynolds sends Gainsborough an invitation to become one of the thirty-six founding members of the Royal Academy of Arts; the Academy is founded on 10 December 1768.
1774
The move to London: Schomberg House
In 1774 Gainsborough and his family move to London, to live in Schomberg House on Pall Mall.
