The whole life2003–2016
The touring exhibition “Process and Collaboration”
Chuck Close Prints: Process and Collaboration, organized by the Blaffer Gallery at the University of Houston and curated by Terrie Sultan, tours the world until 2016, with stops including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Miami Art Museum, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg, White Cube in London and the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, which Close visits in December 2014.

Mentors schoolchildren in the Turnaround Arts programme
He is one of eight artists who volunteer in 2013 for President Obama’s Turnaround Arts initiative, which aims to improve low-performing schools by increasing student engagement through the arts: he mentors 34 sixth- to eighth-graders at Roosevelt School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and on 7 November Mayor Bill Finch honours him with a key to the city.
