    Exhibition in Five Soviet Museums

    His works were shown with success in five Soviet museums: the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Hermitage, the museums of Western and Eastern art in Kyiv and Odesa, and the Art Museum of Riga.

    Victory in Kent v. Dulles

    The U.S. Supreme Court, in Kent v. Dulles, upheld his right to travel abroad, declaring the denial of a passport a violation of civil rights.

  3. 1960

    Gift of Several Hundred Works to the Soviet People

    He donated several hundred of his paintings and drawings to the Soviet people.

  4. 1962

    Honorary Member of the USSR Academy of Arts

    He became an honorary member of the USSR Academy of Arts.
