Theodore Roussel法国, 1847–1926Toward the end of his life, after years of experimentation with color intaglio processes, Roussel developed a novel technique for producing painterly multiples. These works were pulled from fabric plates that had been “inked” with a thick, opaque, water-based medium. The plates were disposable and could be recut from paper templates.
