A bronze group in the Hermitage, Leningrad, of Aeneas, Anchises and Ascanius [said to be by Pierre Le Pautre, but in fact a quite different composition from the well-known Le Pautre group in the Tuilleries (see A. 37-1939)] has an almost identical Ascanius. The Hermitage group appears to date from the early 18th century and to be probably French. The Ascanius may be a little smaller than the present Ascanius here.
