About 105 works by the Danish sculptor Gerhard Henning belong to SMK, the National Gallery of Denmark, and five of them are on view today. Nearly all are figures of women and girls: statuettes and heads, torsos, reliefs and free-standing statues, with a few drawings. Among them are a Danaë of 1927, standing nude girls of 1928–1929 and 1941, a female torso from the early 1930s and a reclining nude girl.
