O rzeźbie

Crowned Buddha is a tenth- or eleventh-century bronze from Bihar, India, now at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. The hand touching the earth marks the moment of enlightenment. Silver fills details of the crown, necklace, eyes and forehead dot. Lapis lazuli and rock crystal once adorned the flaming surround and stepped throne; small remnants of these inlays survive on the base.
