Muirhead Bone (1876–1953), a Scottish painter, etcher and graphic artist, was born in Glasgow, studied at the Glasgow School of Art and died in Oxford. About 583 of his works are in Minneapolis, the Rijksmuseum, the Pinacoteca Nazionale in Bologna, the Yale Center for British Art, the National Gallery of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. His drawings travel from London, with concrete being demolished at Piccadilly Circus, to France, Italy and Spain: a tower in Auxerre at night, the Abruzzi, the river at Potes, houses in Santiago and the walls of Pamplona.
