この絵画について
『中断された眠り』（ちゅうだんされたねむり、仏: Le sommeil interrompu, 英: The Interrupted Sleep）は、18世紀フランス・ロココ期の巨匠フランソワ・ブーシェが1750年にキャンバス上に油彩で制作した絵画である。対作品の『恋文』 (ワシントン・ナショナル・ギャラリー) とともに1753年のサロン・ド・パリで大いに称賛され、ポンパドゥール夫人が所有していたベルヴュー城の装飾に用いられていた。作品は1949年にジュール・バッシュ氏のコレクションとともに寄贈されて以来、ニューヨークのメトロポリタン美術館に所蔵されている。
