この絵画について
『光線』（こうせん、仏: Le Coup de Soleil、英: The Ray of Light）は、17世紀オランダ黄金時代の画家ヤーコプ・ファン・ロイスダールが1665年頃、キャンバス上に油彩で制作した風景画である。画家円熟期の画業の頂点にあった時代に描かれた。作品はルイ16世のコレクションに由来し、現在はパリのルーヴル美術館に所蔵されている。
ルーヴル美術館において、ロラン (Laurent) により版画化。ルーヴル美術館の1902年の目録番号2560。1816年、専門家による価格の査定 (15,000フラン)。

Possibly travels to Germany with Hobbema
In 1661 Ruisdael possibly crossed the German border again with Meindert Hobbema, travelling via the Veluwe, Deventer and Ootmarsum.

Witness at the wedding of his pupil Meindert Hobbema
In 1668 Ruisdael witnesses the marriage of Meindert Hobbema, his only registered pupil. He himself never married — according to Houbraken, to reserve time to serve his old father.

Still comfortable after the Disaster Year
There is no record of Ruisdael owning land or shares, yet he appears to have lived comfortably even after the downturn of the disaster year 1672: in inventories of 1650–1679 his paintings averaged 40 guilders against 19 for attributed paintings generally. The legend that he died poor in a Haarlem almshouse confuses him with his cousin Jacob Salomonszoon.
