A workshop of decorative and applied art in Kyiv
Passionate about decorative and applied art — designs on dresses, shawls, tablecloths, cushions, screens and lampshades — she opens, together with I. Rabinovich, a teaching and production workshop where P. Tchelitchew, Alexander Tyshler, Vadym Meller, Anatol Petrytsky, Kliment Red'ko, N. Shifrin, A. Petrovich, Nikritin and others work.

Moves to Moscow
She leaves Kyiv, where she had lived since 1905–1906, and moves to Moscow.
1921
The “5x5=25” exhibition in Moscow
Her work is displayed alongside that of other Constructivist artists at the “5x5=25” exhibition; in the same year she becomes director of the elementary course “Color” at VKhUTEMAS, a post she holds until 1924.

She and her husband emigrate to France and settle in Paris; she will never return to Soviet Russia.

The Soviet pavilion at the Venice Biennale
In the spring of 1924 she travels to Venice to take part in organising the 14th Venice Biennale and the Soviet pavilion; most of her works are not shown but appear in the catalogue, and for the entrance hall on the pavilion's second floor she creates a special painting inspired by Venice.
