Twenty years of teaching at the Grande Chaumière
From 1909 to 1929 Bourdelle taught at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière; his students included Germaine Richier, Alberto Giacometti, Margaret Cossaceanu, Isaac Frenkel and Adaline Kent.

His sculptures are shown from the USA to Japan
In 1925, despite his illness, Bourdelle’s sculptures were shown all over the world, from the United States to Japan, including at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris.

The Alvear monument is unveiled in Buenos Aires
The monument to General Alvear, on which Bourdelle had worked since the First World War, was inaugurated in Buenos Aires in 1925.

In 1928 Bourdelle was acclaimed as one of the greatest sculptors of his generation, as the scale of the exhibition of his work at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels shows.
