    A House on the Walchensee

    He acquired a plot in the hamlet of Urfeld on the Walchensee, where his wife built a house; here began his late period of landscapes, portraits, and still lifes, which brought recognition and financial success.

    65th-Birthday Exhibition at the National Gallery
