Lewis Wickes Hine, né le 26 septembre 1874 à Oshkosh dans l'Etat du Wisconsin et mort le 3 novembre 1940 à Dobbs Ferry dans l'État de New York, est un photographe américain, sociologue de formation, il est l'un des fondateurs du photojournalisme inauguré par Mathew Brady et dans la lignée de Jacob Riis pour sa documentation des conditions sociales.
