Balthasar van der Ast, né à Middelbourg en 1593 ou 1594 et mort à Delft en décembre 1657, est un peintre néerlandais du Siècle d'or néerlandais spécialisé dans les natures mortes de fleurs et de fruits, ainsi que dans la peinture d'un certain nombre de natures mortes de coquillages dont il est considéré comme un pionnier.
