Babu Xavier was born in Kerala in 1960. The artist lives and works amongst fishermen on the beaches of Kerala. His work depicts a dream world of soft colours inhabited by creatures of the imagination, birds, fish, animal and humans in varying combinations. This image seems to depict a woman looking out of a window or trying to hind behind the curtains of a window. On the other side of the window we see two people. Xavier has executed the painting in soft shades of different colours, reminiscent of the dreamlile feel of painter Marc Chagall.
