    Illness After the Front

    Orpen falls seriously ill, and Yvonne Aubicq nurses him for two months.

    Portraits of the Peace Conference Delegates

    Orpen paints delegates to the Paris Peace Conference. These portraits form the basis of two large canvases depicting the negotiations and the signing of the peace treaty.

    To the Unknown British Soldier in France is exhibited for the first time at the Royal Academy.
