About the sculpture

This statuette is known in about 10 versions, one of which is in Vaduz. St Sebastian is represented half kneeing while bound to a tree trunk with his right arm. He is shown without wounds from the arrows.

The bronze is probably made by the German sculptor Georg Petel, when he was in Italy (ca. 1621/22).
