About the painting

Piesă alcătuită din icoana propriu-zisă, ramă și dos la ramă alcătuit din două scânduri. Icoana îi prezintă pe Sf. Trei Ierarhi (Ioan gură de aur, Vasile cel Mare și Grigore Teologul) numai până la genunchi. În încercarea de a da perspectivă scenei, autorul l-a plasat pe Ioan puțin în față, acoperind părți ale corpurilor celorlalți doi. Toți trei binecuvântează cu dreapta iar în stânga țin Cartea Sfântă. Ei sunt îmbrăcați în veșminte de mari arhierei (sacosuri, mantii, omofoare cu cruci, bedernițe, mitre). Aureolele sunt întrerupte de mitre. Cerul luminos este împânzit de flori mici, albe și roșii realizate din puncte. Același tip de flori sunt plasate și pe mantii. Mantiile sunt bordate cu linii vălurite, linii ce apar și pe sacosuri. Pământul ocupă puțin spațiu în economia icoanei (latura stângă, jos) fiint redat prin benzi de culoare decorate cu hașuri și linii vălurite. Cromatica: bleu, gri, roșu, galben, alb, negru, auriu, verde, cafeniu.
