The whole life
  1. 1912

    Works in the “Tower” studio

    She works in a Moscow studio known as “The Tower” with Ivan Aksenov and Vladimir Tatlin, and visits Sergei Shchukin’s collection of modern French paintings.

  2. 1912–1913

    Studies in Paris under Le Fauconnier and Metzinger

    She attends the studios of the Cubist painters Henri Le Fauconnier and Jean Metzinger at the Académie de La Palette in Paris, studying alongside Nadezhda Udaltsova.

  3. 1912–1913

    Meets Archipenko and Zadkine

    In Paris she meets Alexander Archipenko and, in 1913, Ossip Zadkine.

  4. 1913

    Returns to Russia and works with Tatlin

    After returning to Russia that same year she works with Tatlin, Udaltsova and the Vesnin brothers.

  5. 1914–1916

    Takes part in the avant-garde exhibitions

    Together with Aleksandra Ekster, Nadezhda Udaltsova and Olga Rozanova she contributes to the “Knave of Diamonds” exhibitions, to “Tramway V” in Petrograd, to “0.10” and to “The Store”; at “0.10” she shows several figurative painted cardboard reliefs in a Cubist-derived style.

  6. 1916

    Joins Malevich’s group “Supremus”

    She joins Kazimir Malevich’s group Supremus; together with Aleksandra Ekster, Ivan Kliun, Nadezhda Udaltsova, Olga Rozanova, Ivan Puni, Nina Genke, Ksenia Boguslavskaya and others she works at the Verbovka village folk centre.
