May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This panel relief, representing the Lamentation over the Dead Christ, was formerly ascribed to the Paduan Giovanni Minelli (b. ca. 1460; d. after 1527), but is now thought to have been made at Ferrara.
The relief formed the door of a tabernacle. The style and figure types relate closely to works produced at Ferrara in the circle of Niccolo Baroncelli (d. 1453).
