The whole life
  1. 1916

    His will leaves everything to the state

    Rodin signed a will under which all his works and manuscripts passed to the state; the Musée Rodin was established on 22 December 1916, in the sculptor's lifetime.

  2. January 1917

    Marries Rose Beuret

    Rodin married Rose Beuret, his companion of a lifetime, at the villa in Meudon; she was already seriously ill.

  3. 29 January 1917

    Married: Rose Beuret Mignon

  4. February 1917

    Death of Rose Beuret

    Rose Beuret died only weeks after the wedding, nine months before Rodin himself.

  5. 12 November 1917

    His last illness

    Rodin fell seriously ill on his seventy-seventh birthday and five days later died of a rapidly progressing pneumonia.
