About the work

In Juniper, Ehret provided a delicate portrayal of the thin stalk and sharp, spreading needle-like juvenile leaves of the juniper. Using translucent washes, Ehret accurately portrayed the berry-like seed cones covered with white wax, giving them an overall sky-blue color.
