Death of his son Pablo
His son Pablo dies in a hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The loss of his daughter and then his son shaped much of his subsequent work.

The retrospective “Moving Out” at the National Gallery of Art
The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. presents Moving Out, the most comprehensive retrospective of Frank’s work to date.
1995
Founds the Andrea Frank Foundation
In memory of his daughter he founds the Andrea Frank Foundation, which provides grants to artists.
