Hans Christian Andersen writes Bloch a New Year's letter

In a New Year's letter, Hans Christian Andersen tells the painter that what God has arched on solid rock will not be swept away. In another letter he writes that Bloch's art adds a new step to his Jacob's ladder into immortality.
