Grammatica zit als oudere lerares te midden van haar leerlingen. In de klas zitten leerlingen van verschillende leeftijden. Achter leren de jongste kinderen schrijven. Links voor leest een ouder kind in een boek. Grammatica helpt een andere leerling die met een boek naast haar staat. In haar schoot ligt een wijsstok. Op de grond liggen boeken van beroemde schrijvers op het gebied van de spraakkunst zoals Donatus en Diomedes.

Return to Italy: Venice, Bologna, Rome
Having returned from Italy to the Netherlands, Cort left again for Venice shortly after 1567, and from there traveled to Bologna and Rome, where he engraved after the paintings of the great masters of the time.

Lampsonius's Letter to Titian
Cort's connection with Cock and Titian is illustrated by a letter of 1567 from Dominicus Lampsonius of Liège addressed to Titian, in which Cock is named as Cort's teacher.
