The whole life
  1. 1912–1914

    Life and study in Paris

    Mukhina lives in Paris, attending the private Colarossi studio and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, where she studies with the sculptor Émile Antoine Bourdelle.

  2. 1914

    The hospital and the meeting with Aleksey Zamkov

    After completing nursing courses, Mukhina began working in a military hospital, where she met a young military doctor, Aleksey Zamkov.

  3. until summer 1914

    Italy and the return to Moscow on the eve of the war

    After Paris, Mukhina travels through Italy, studying the sculpture and painting of the Renaissance; she returned to Moscow in the summer of 1914, only weeks before the outbreak of the First World War.

  4. 1915–1916

    Assistant to Aleksandra Ekster at the Chamber Theatre

    In 1915 and 1916 Mukhina worked as assistant to Aleksandra Ekster at Alexander Tairov's Chamber Theatre in Moscow.
