About the work
Red Grooms salutes legendary Minnesota Vikings quarterback Fran Tarkenton in this delightful life-size caricature that was partly inspired by witnessing the devotion of local sport fans for their hero athlete. The three-dimensional multiple is one of about 25 editioned works Grooms produced in collaboration with Vermillion Editions Limited of Minneapolis.
