  2. 9 February 1790

    Marries Rosine Dorschel

    On 9 February 1790 Juel married Rosine Dorschel, the daughter of a court gardener. They had many children, sons and daughters, but most of them died young.

  3. 1795

    Becomes director of the Academy

    In 1795 Juel became director of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and remained in the post until his death.
