In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Phytalus zit links geknield op de grond. Hij ontvangt van Ceres een vijgenboom als dank voor zijn gastvrijheid. Rechts twee draken waardoor de wagen van Ceres doorgaans getrokken wordt. Midden onder drie regels Latijnse tekst (Pausanias' 'Beschrijving van Griekenland': I, 37, 2).
