    Teaches art at a school

    He worked as a school art teacher, from 1971 in Düsseldorf (other accounts give 1969–1980), and afterwards as a free artist holding visiting professorships across Europe.

    The sculpture “Brandenburg Gate” at documenta 7

    At documenta 7 in Kassel Immendorff showed his sculpture “Brandenburg Gate”.

    Opens the bar La Paloma in Hamburg

    The bar stood near the Reeperbahn in Hamburg’s St. Pauli district; there Immendorff also made a large bronze sculpture of Hans Albers.
