The touring exhibition “Process and Collaboration”
Chuck Close Prints: Process and Collaboration, organized by the Blaffer Gallery at the University of Houston and curated by Terrie Sultan, tours the world until 2016, with stops including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Miami Art Museum, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg, White Cube in London and the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, which Close visits in December 2014.

Commissioned to make twelve mosaics for a subway station
MTA Arts & Design commissions him to create twelve large mosaics, totalling more than 2,000 square feet (190 m²), for the 86th Street station of the Second Avenue Line of the New York City Subway in Manhattan.

The British art critic Christopher Finch publishes the biography Chuck Close: Life, a sequel of sorts to his 2007 career-spanning monograph Chuck Close: Work.
