    Kahnweiler Buys His Entire Studio; Move to Montmartre

    The dealer Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler purchased the entire contents of Derain's studio, giving him financial stability; the artist experimented with stone sculpture and moved to Montmartre, closer to Picasso and other artists.

  2. 1909

    Woodcuts for Apollinaire's First Book

    He made woodcuts in a primitivist style for the edition of Guillaume Apollinaire's first prose book, The Rotting Magician (L'enchanteur pourrissant).

  3. 1910

    Exhibition of the Neue Künstlervereinigung in Munich

    He showed works at the exhibition of the Neue Künstlervereinigung in Munich.
