In the museum's own words — the original
Christus knielt op de grond bij een bekken met water en wast de voeten van apostel Petrus die protesterend zijn hand opheft. De andere apostelen kijken toe. Boekillustratie met een rechthoekige omlijsting van fijne ornamenten. De prent is gedrukt van meerdere houtblokken.

Together with his business partner, the goldsmith Christian Döring, he was responsible for publishing the September Testament — Luther's translation of the Bible with illustrations by Cranach.
