About the sculpture

This relief representing the Virgin and Child was made in the end of the 15th century North Italy. The type of this relief may be compared to the reliefs of the Virgin and Child ascribed to Benedetto da Maiano, at the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, Berlin. (No. 209.1913)
