关于作品
Pen and ink drawing of the actor/manager Sir Henry Irving (1838-1905) as Cardinal Wolsey in Henry VIII. Profile head and shoulders drawing, the face in silhouette, drawn on the front of a blank postcard and signed with the artist's monogram. Undated.
The actor played the role of Cardinal Wolsey in the 1892 production of Shakespeare's Henry VIII at the Lyceum Theatre. Ellen Terry (1848-1928) played Queen Katherine, with William Terriss (1847-1897) as King Henry VIII.
