Eser hakkında

A Surinam Planter in his Morning Dress, engraved by William Blake after John Gabriel Stedman in 1793, is in Washington’s National Gallery of Art. The planter smokes a long pipe, his free hand on his hip, wearing a feathered hat and striped trousers. A barefoot attendant pours a drink beside him. A house and foliage stand beyond this illustration to Stedman’s expedition narrative.
