Tony Smith made Source in 1967; it is in the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland. A precursor of minimalism, he often drew his monumental geometric forms from nature. Here mass and volume balance one another, giving the sculpture a playful energy within the public space it occupies. On view in the North Sculpture Garden.
