He makes another trip to northern Italy.

Honorary citizen of Düsseldorf
He becomes an honorary citizen of Düsseldorf in recognition of more than fifty years of involvement in the city’s institutions and associations. For many years one of the city’s leading figures, he lives in a very large, ostentatious house where he hosts artists, writers, scholars, officers and nobles; among his guests and patrons is Karl Anton, Prince of Hohenzollern.
