Etchings at Studio Prints
In the last 25 years of his life Freud made etchings with advice from the Armenian-born artist and printer Marc Balakjian at Studio Prints in Kentish Town, London; 143 of these prints are in the V&A's collection.

Exhibitions at the Whitechapel and the Met
The Whitechapel Gallery in London showed “Lucian Freud: Recent Work” (catalogue by Catherine Lampert); at that year's exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, Nude with Leg Up (Leigh Bowery) was removed from display.
