Sobre a pintura
In Combination Concrete #2, Stuart Davis arranged shapes and words in a hot palette of repeating colors to create a syncopated rhythm akin to jazz, a modern American art form he loved. Davis explained that the painting's title "refers to 'concrete music'-sounds recorded on tape, which is cut and spliced in patterns to make a composition."
