O rzeźbie
Memory, Daniel Chester French's sculpture begun in 1886–1887 and revised in 1909, is in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art as a marble carved in 1917–1919. A mirror accompanies the female figure, suggesting reflection on passing beauty and youth. The Piccirilli brothers translated the model into Carrara marble in their Bronx workshop. This enlarged version was exhibited in 1919. Gallery 700.
