O dziele
Two shades of brown describe the vessel in Jug, M. C. Escher’s linocut of 1917 at the National Gallery of Art, Washington. He printed the colours from two blocks onto wove paper. The vessel stands against a rectangular field, with lettering at the upper left. Escher signed in pencil below the image, which measures 21.6 by 15.2 centimetres.
