O obrazie

Grainstack in Sunlight, painted by Claude Monet in the 1890s, belongs to the Kunsthaus Zürich in Zurich. The upper edge of the canvas cuts off the stack, a composition found only in this version of the series. The stacks stood in the Clos Morin, a field west of Monet's Giverny home where the farmer Quéruel built them each year. This 60-by-100-cm oil painting is not on display.
