Pen and ink drawing by E.P. Kinsella, showing two men, each clasping the hand of a female figure representing Fortune. The left hand figure is the theatre impresario Walter Melville. Signed E.P.K., and dated 1925.
Walter Melville (1875-1937) ran the Lyceum Theatre in partnership with his brother Frederick between 1910-1938. They became particularly known for the spectacular pantomimes which they produced each year.
