Het hele leven1923
Marries Aleksandra Shchekatikhina-Pototskaya
Bilibin married the porcelain painter Aleksandra Shchekatikhina-Pototskaya, who had joined him in Cairo with her son Mstislav. In 1922 he had written to Maria Chambers asking for a divorce so that he could remarry; she did not reply, but by 1923 they were divorced.

Travels through Syria and Palestine
Bilibin travelled through Syria and Palestine with his wife and stepson, painting landscapes.
1924
Moves to Alexandria
Back in Egypt, Bilibin settled in Alexandria; in 1925 he designed frescoes and an iconostasis for a Syrian Orthodox church there.
1925
Moves to Paris for the World Exhibition
The family's move to Paris was prompted by the World Exhibition. There Bilibin decorated private houses and Orthodox churches and designed sets for productions of Russian operas; he was invited to design Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird in Buenos Aires.
