Over het werk

Voorstelling van een blatend schaap, dat van haar kudde gescheiden is door bomen en struikgewas. Dit blad is onderdeel van de embleemserie 'Leven van Maria in emblemen'. De eerste staat van deze serie behelst naast een titelpagina en 26 emblemen ook drie bladen met lofzangen op Maria in boekdruk zonder afbeelding.
