This is a design for a mock baronial dining hall. The room is therefore an imitation of a grand dining hall such as might have existed in a sixteenth- or seventeenth-century country house. Designed by the architect, Robert Tumelty, who worked in Manchester, it dates to the 1930s. It is a perspective drawing showing a timbered ceiling, a wooden floor with a carpet and reproduction Renaissance furniture in friont of a fireplace. A French window is ajar onto a garden.
